This is our first and most essential course, as it sets the foundation for understanding many other cross-cultural and even inter-generational communication issues.
When we are communicating with people who hold different worldviews, our communications can sometimes fail, and it is often difficult to discern why. Some will be shocked to learn just how different other people’s worldviews can be!
Understanding worldview will assist daily interpersonal and professional relationships, and help develop new understandings to work more effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds. In the Worldview course, you will also discover things about Yolngu culture that you will not learn anywhere else.
Richard Trudgen presents this course, explaining worldview through the eyes of the Yolngu people of north-east Arnhem Land. The full course will take 1.5–2hrs to complete. Chapter 1 has 2 lessons and Chapter 2 has 3 lessons. You can return to the course at any time and pick up where you left off. This is a lifetime enrolment.
You will also get free access to a 17-minute video when you purchase this course. In the video, Richard discusses “What is Cultural Safety?”, recorded by the Network for Indigenous Culture and Health Education in Adelaide in 2014.
